Top quality in the classroom

Teaching: Your teachers are experts, qualified at teaching their language. They use a variety of up-to-date approaches to design an ideal course for your particular group.We focus on creating the right environment for you to learn effectively. This means that classes are interesting, and learning progress is rapid, thanks also to project and group work, the most up-to-date materials and computer learning programs, video and audio facilities.

Curriculum: Your course is organised in weekly modules with detailed learning objectives for your level. Your teacher explains these aims to you so you are able to see where you are going. You are consulted as a partner in this process. You have a review lesson at the end of each week.

Personalisation: Right from Day One your individual needs are identified. After an entry test and interview you are placed in the best class for your level. You receive feedback from your entry test, lessons, and homework and progress tests.Your teachers find time to talk to you regularly and give you recommendations for guided independent study in the learning centre.

Progress: We help you to progress more quickly through the feedback from teacher assessments and tests. At the end of your stay you feel confident about what you can now do in the language. Your Eurocentres Certificate and the more detailed Linguistic Profile record the language level you have achieved.

National ELT Accreditation Scheme (NEAS)

Our role:

The broad aim of NEAS is to establish and uphold high standards of service provision in English Language Teaching.

The purpose of the scheme is:

  • to set standards of quality in the provision of ELT programs and related services
  • to provide a professional judgment as to whether ELT centres meet and continue to meet those standards

In achieving our purpose, NEAS is:

  • Rigorous in its audit regime so as to sustain high levels of delivery of English language teaching;
  • Supportive of the industry through maintaining a role of offering external continual improvement advice to ELT centres;
  • Co-operative in its dealings with industry and government representatives when working to the benefit of the industry and its key beneficiaries, the students studying English;
  • Open in its willingness to learn and participate in the future of the industry and open to reviews and evaluations of its own operations.

NEAS also aims to develop quality in service provision of ELT centres by taking a professional development role in the ELT sector. Information sessions are at times offered by NEAS which are aimed at raising awareness of quality issues in ELT, and NEAS convenes an annual national conference for the benefit of ELT managers. This conference focuses on management issues typically facing ELT managers, with the content based on the needs of the participants.
