Respect for the individual is paramount, and staff and students alike follow a Code of Practice. A healthy lifestyle is encouraged and as potential practitioners, students are encouraged to develop good communication and ‘people´ skills, and to maintain their own physical fitness.
Massage students come from a variety of professional backgrounds and personal experiences, yet forge very strong bonds as they harmoniously work together to achieve their study commitments.
Students are encouraged to practice their massage skills on a variety of different classmates to become familiar with different body types, and to gain a deeper understanding of their own scope of service and of each individual clients´ needs.
The school is staffed by fully trained and qualified lecturers; each with a minimum of 5 years professional experience and each is a currently practicing therapist. They form an integrated team, providing dynamic industry training and individual support to students. All lecturers are required to undergo yearly professional development and additional training, to keep abreast of professional and legislative developments within the massage industry.
For international students who require language assistance to improve their English reading, writing and speaking skills, we are able to recommend a respected local language training facility.
As a guide, an IELTS score of approximately 4.5 (or equivalent) is required for the Certificate IV of Massage.
An IELTS score of 5.0 (or equivalent) is required for the Diploma of Remedial Massage.
